Quick Start Guide for Clinicians

This quick guide is here to help you confidently run VR sessions, view reports, and update patient information when needed.

Getting Started

  1. Go to platform.xr.health

  2. Click “Log in as a Clinician”

  3. Enter your credentials
    First time logging in? Check your inbox for an email titled “Access your XRHealth account.” Click the activation link to set your password.


 

Basic Platform Structure

The XRHealth platform is organized into organizations, which include:

  • Clinicians

  • Patients

  • Devices

Visibility types:

  • Organization: Visible to all clinicians in your organization (indicated by this icon:  cdb303e1-ae69-4368-a515-674a6b249a98)

  • Personal: Visible only to the clinician assigned to it (no icon)


 

How to Launch a VR Environment

  1. Go to the Homepage

  2. Select an environment:

    • Explore the different spaces and categories, or

    • Chat with the AI Assistant to get recommendations and quickly find an environment

  3. Click “Launch”
       

  4. Select the VR Device
     
    If the device is not listed: Type the pairing code that appears on the XRPortal home screen to add it.

  5. Confirm the device is ready for use, then click “Next
     
  6. Choose the Language, and optionally update the Session Title and Description, then click Next

    Note: The session will automatically be assigned to the patient linked to the headset. If the headset is not assigned to any patient, you can select the patient here.
  7. Select the Control Mode and click “Start Session”

  8. On both modes: The patient will be prompted to approve screen sharing. Ask them to select “Entire Screen” and then click “Share” using their controller.


    Note: Not all environments allow both modes. In that case, you won't see the screen, and the environment will start in the available mode it has.
    1. Simple Mode:
      1. Watch the patient’s screen and guide them through the session

      2. Click “Finish” to end the session

    2. Advanced Mode:

      1. Set configurations

      2. Click the Play icon to start the session

      3. During the session you can:

        1. Control variables

        2. Pause and resume with the Play/Pause icon

        3. Add notes

        4. Send messages to VR

        5. Finish the session

 

       

      Tip: You can share these instructions with your patient to help them connect to Wi‑Fi and understand what they need to do for the remote session to go smoothly.


       

      How to View Reports

      1. Click the Reports tab

      2. Use the search bar to find a specific report

      3. Click the green icon to view the report

      4. Click the edit icon:

        • Add a title, description, or notes

        • Assign a patient (if not assigned yet)

        • When done- click "Save"
               

       

      How to View and Edit Patient Information

      1. Go to the Patients tab

      2. Click on a patient’s name

      3. View their details and number of VR sessions

      4. Click “Edit” to add or change personal information

      5. When done, click “Save Changes”

                 

      Tip: Adding or updating a patient’s email will send them an invitation to MyXRHealth, our patient online care hub. This is optional and not required for VR use.
